The Infant Monitoring Program (IMP) was established in 1988 to ensure that infants who are born with special needs receive specialized services early and that their parents receive individualized training and support.
Through IMP, Easter Seals Arkansas enhances the infant's health and development and supports the parents as they learn to meet their children's special needs.
* IMP serves infants who are born with diagnosed disabilities and infants who are born at-risk due to prematurity.
* The IMP Team is made up of a project coordinator, pediatric physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech-language pathologist. The staff of this program have received extensive training in oral motor/feeding, treatment and outcomes for premature infants and parent education.
The IMP team provides:
* Evaluations and therapy services for infants.
* Individualized consultations and support for parents/caregivers.
* Informational packets containing an individualized developmental milestone checklist, service and exercise information, and digital pictures of different activities and ways to appropriately position the child.
* Resource kits containing developmentally appropriate toys and specialized equipment.
The offices for this program are located in the Outpatient Services Building on the West Little Rock Campus.
