RENEW Recycling

RENEW118.JPGEaster Seals Arkansas’ recycling program, RENEW, gives adults with disabilities the opportunity to be employed while also helping our community go green.  Collecting and then sorting, shredding and baling all types of office paper and cardboard, the program provides meaningful work and a paycheck to the participating adults.

RENEW works with local businesses so that more adults have the opportunity to work. Together, RENEW and Central Arkansas businesses are providing adults with disabilities the opportunity to be successful while creating a greener, healthier and more efficient community for all of us to live in.

In January 2015 the RENEW program received certification from NAID - The National Association for Information Destruction.  The NAID AAA Certification Program is a voluntary program for NAID member companies providing information destruction services. Through the program, NAID members will be audited for mobile and/or plant-based operations in paper or printed media, micromedia, computer hard drive destruction, and/or computer hard drive sanitization. Under this program, the certification application and associated fees cover only individual locations. If a NAID member operates in multiple locations, each location must pass the audit to be certified. NAID members who receive certification must specify the location certified in company literature when referencing the NAID certification program.

We are now in an elite class of secure document destruction programs.  We have met their stringent criteria and operate under these mandatory guideline to maintain this certification on a day to day basis.
